CO 30 Pedestrian Bridge Replacement
The Colorado Department of Transportation replaced the pedestrian bridge structure at Colorado Highway 30 (6th Avenue) and Vaughn Street—approximately 0.2 miles west of I-225 in Aurora, CO.
The current structure was deteriorating and did not meet Americans with Disabilities Act requirements (ADA). This project replaced the bridge structure with an ADA-compliant structure and added additional sidewalk on the south side of CO 30, from Vaughn Street to Potomac Street, to improve the existing bus stop and overall pedestrian mobility.
All construction began in early summer 2016 and was completed in August 2016.
