About the Project
The project entails adding four to six inches of asphalt overlay on top of full depth reclamation to a seven mile stretch of CO 14, a rural two-lane highway in northeastern Colorado. The project also includes bridge deck repairs and guardrail replacement, erecting new signs, adding delineators and rumble strips, restriping the roadway, and making other safety improvements.
Work Schedule
- The project began on Monday, April 25 and is expected to last until Friday, Oct. 14.
- Working hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Some Saturday work is expected.
- All construction schedules are weather dependent and subject to change.
Traffic Impacts
- CO 14 will be reduced to a single lane at various mile points within the project limits during construction
- Alternating eastbound/westbound traffic will be directed by pilot cars within the single lane configuration
- Short delays of up to 15 minutes can be expected, depending on the time of day
- Construction signs, cones and devices will be present 24/7
- Width restriction of 14 feet will exist in the work zone
- Lane closures and other traffic notices are posted weekly to COtrip.org
