- September 2016: Sign installation
- September to October 2016: Fence installation
Highlights
This infrastructure maintenance project included some wildlife safety improvements. The project spanned approximately 6.6 miles of C-470. The resurfacing was designed to restore the existing pavement and add an overlay of asphalt, repair several bridge joints and apply new pavement markings along the length of the project.
Additionally, crews installed 15 deer ramps and more than 7,800 linear feet of new fencing. The deer ramps are designed to provide a safe way for wildlife to exit the road and to create a barrier that discourages them from entering the highway.
