CO 103 Bridge Reconstruction
The Colorado Highway (CO) 103 Bridge over I-70 reopened to traffic in February 2015. Reconstruction of each of the on-ramps and off-ramps in this interchange began in late April.
The bridge itself over I-70 will remain open to vehicles and crews will rebuild these ramps in phases to keep traffic moving through a portion of the interchange. These phased closures, their anticipated duration and the associated detours are as follows:
- The new westbound I-70 off-ramp to CO 103 (Exit 240) will be built adjacent to the existing off-ramp to maintain access to the downtown Idaho Springs Business and Historic District.
- Reconstruction of the CO 103 on-ramp to westbound I-70 is complete.
- Reconstruction of the CO 103 on-ramp to eastbound I-70 is complete.
- Reconstruction of the eastbound I-70 off-ramp to CO 103 is complete.
