I-25 Over 48th Avenue Bridge Joint Repair

Project Overview

The Colorado Department of Transportation has completed a bridge joint replacement project on Interstate 25 (I-25) over 48th Avenue. ABCO Contracting, Inc. began work in the southbound I-25 general travel lanes first. Joint repairs occurred within the I-25 HOV/Toll Express Lanes and northbound I-25 general travel lanes.

This approximately $1 million project also included similar bridge repairs on I-25 over the Interstate 70 (I-70) collector-distributor ramps. The project completed in June of 2015.

  • Project completed in June 2015

Construction Update: May 5, 2015

  • Work on southbound I-25 in now complete
  • Crews are currently working on northbound I-25 over the I-70 ramps

  • Work on southbound I-25 will resume in late March 2015
  • Northbound I-25 work will commence when southbound I-25 work is complete

Construction Update: November 11, 2014 (Work will resume in the Spring of 2015)

  • Southbound I-25 over I-70 collector-distributor work started

  • HOV/Toll Express Lane work occurring three weekends in a row: October 17-19, 24-16, and October 31-November 2
  • Crews continue to work on southbound I-25 mainline
