Project History
An Environmental Assessment (EA) was completed for the project in 2009. The EA analyzed impacts of proposed transportation improvements at the US 6 and Wadsworth Boulevard interchange and along Wadsworth between 4th and 14th Avenues. The EA document describes the purpose and need for the improvements, alternatives considered, social and environmental consequences of the proposed action, and public and agency involvement activities.
A Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) was issued by the Federal Highway Administration in 2010. This document describes the build alternative, summarizes impacts and mitigation measures, and outlines public comments received regarding the EA. The FONSI is a decision document that concludes the project does not have any significant environmental effect and allows the project to move forward.
