- 2050 Program Distribution: CDOT’s long-term investment strategy is reflected in the Program Distribution process. Program Distribution is a part of the long-range Statewide Transportation Plan and outlines the assignment of projected revenues to various program areas for the time period of the Plan.
- CDOT Online Transportation Information System (OTIS): This is the Colorado Department of Transportation’s access point to information frequently used for transportation planning and project development. Information is provided on current and projected traffic volumes, state highway attributes, summary roadway statistics and geographic data.
- State Demography Office: The primary source for Colorado population and demographic information. The State Demography Office provides population estimates and forecasts for Colorado’s regions, counties, and municipalities developed by the State Demography Office and the U.S. Census Bureau.

Public Involvement Guide 2025
CDOT believes that effective and continuous public involvement is essential for the state transportation system to serve a diverse group of users. Therefore, CDOT has updated its Guide to the Transportation Planning and Programming Public Involvement Process. This guide is a comprehensive document that informs the public and stakeholders about how they can participate in various planning activities.
