SEA Training

In the initial roll out plan, the ITS & Network Service Branch and the SEA Project Team conducted several trainings throughout August 2021.

SEA Lunch & Learn and SEA 101

These presentations were a high level summary of the revamped SEA process. The three main takeaways from these presentations were:

  1. All projects must complete the Technology/SEA Assessment Form
    • This allows the PM to determine if an SEA is required early in design, with the ITS & Network Services Branch verifying the correct assessment.
    • If an SEA is not required, it provides documentation that an SEA is not required.
  2. There is a robust website now created for the SEA!
  3. The ITS & Network Services Branch is here to help our project in any way possible - please reach out with any questions!

SEA Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

After approximately a month  of the revamped SEA process being required at CDOT, the SEA project team lead a discussion on FAQ regarding the SEA. Here is the link to the slide deck. Continuous Improvement

As areas for improvement on the revamped SEA process become apparent, the ITS & Network Services Branch will provided additional training. The ITS & Network Services Branch is also happy to have one on one trainings for those having to go through the revamped SEA process.
