I-25 Central Express Lanes
The I-25 Central Express Lanes are two reversible lanes between US 36 and downtown Denver, and are barrier-separated from the general-purpose lanes. Depending upon time of day, the I-25 Central Express Lanes in downtown Denver can connect to both the North I-25: US 36 to 120th Avenue Express Lanes and the US 36 Express Lanes.
How to Use the Express Lanes
These lanes are reversible, running Denver-bound or southbound in the morning and Boulder-bound or northbound in the afternoons. Overhead signage indicates if the lanes are open and the toll price.

Paying a toll, motorcycles can use Express Lanes where HOV3+ is not allowed. A pass and ExpressToll account are required to avoid higher tolls.
HOV3+ users must have an ExpressToll account, a Switchable HOV transponder set to “HOV3+” mode, and three or more people in the vehicle to use the Express Lanes for free.
Motorcyclists can use the Express Lanes for free without a pass.

- 7 miles of Express Lanes from US 36 and 20th Street in Downtown Denver.
- The lanes connect to the I-25 North and US 36 Express Lanes.
- Motorcyclists can use the Express Lanes for free without a pass. All other vehicles are tolled.
- HOV 3+ and bus services are available with a switchable HOV transponder.
- Adjustable toll pricing system used – prices depend on the time of day.
