Visual Resources Program
CDOT’s Visual Resources Program oversees Visual Impact Assessments (VIAs) related to transportation projects. The program aims to inform decision making in the context of the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and in terms of maintaining and improving the scenic quality of the State of Colorado.
The Visual Resource Program is striving to be the preeminent transportation visual resource program, while improving the urban and rural scenic integrity of the State of Colorado. Materials on this webpage support CDOT’s commitment to the role of visual resources in terms of project planning and NEPA through project design, construction, and maintenance.
