Becky Pierce Participates in House Bill 1379 Signature Ceremony

On May 29th, CDOT's wetland program manager, Becky Pierce, attended the signature ceremony in Silverthorne for House Bill 1379. The Bill sets the stage for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) to develop a program for a Colorado dredge and fill program. State and local regulation of discharges into streams and wetlands has taken on greater importance in the last year following a Supreme Court decision in Sackett v EPA. Becky has been assisting CDPHE with legislation language and looks forward to providing input into program future rulemaking.
