Tandem Axle Dump Truck and Chip Spreader
Tandem axle dump trucks (left) and chip spreaders (right) combine together for a chipsealing operation. CDOT applies washed stones to the top of an asphalt roadway to seal cracks and add friction to the roadway for safety. These are usually seen in rural areas of the state or areas with low traffic counts.
