CDOT bridge inspectors using these snooper trucks to inspect and work on the underside of bridges when there is no roadway underneath or the roadway is to busy to close. thumbnail image Snooper Truck
CDOT traffic trucks have a 40 foot bucket as well as a pole cat attachment. With these trucks CDOT traffic crews can drill the holes for traffic lights, place the poles, and attach the wires and heads for traffic signals. thumbnail image Traffic Truck

A track hoe (top) and a skid steer loader (bottom) work to clean excess vegetation from under bridges to keep water flowing and prevent flooding. thumbnail image Track Hoe and Skid Steer Loader
Tandem axle dump trucks (right) and Grade-Alls (left) are used to clean ditches and stream beds to keep water flowing, and prevent flooding or erosion. thumbnail image Tandem Axle Dump Truck and Grade-All
Tandem axle dump trucks (left) and chip spreaders (right) combine together for a chipsealing operation. CDOT applies washed stones to the top of an asphalt roadway to seal cracks and add friction to the roadway for safety. These are usually seen in rural areas of the state or areas with low traffic counts. thumbnail image Tandem Axle Dump Truck and Chip Spreader
Grade-Alls can be used to help clean ditches of debris, thereby helping prevent roadways from flooding. thumbnail image Grade-All
Hard hats and vests (among other pieces of clothing) help keep our employees safe by protecting them and increasing their visibility on roadways. thumbnail image Hard Hats and Vests
Variable Message Signs (VMS) can be programmed with different messages to warn motorists of impending maintenance projects. thumbnail image Variable Message Sign (VMS)
Smaller than our regular loaders, the skid-steer loaders help move smaller debris and materials. thumbnail image Skid-Steer Loader
Sign trucks help us move variable message signs (VMS) and other stand-alone signs to and from cone zones. thumbnail image Sign Truck
