Safe Routes to School 20th Anniversary
Student Art Contest
Colorado Safe Routes to School invites students grades K-12 to submit their artistic creations by 4pm Friday, May 2, 2025.
The winning submission may be incorporated into next fall’s Walk and Roll to School 2025 Poster and Sticker designs; the top three entries will receive a free Safe Routes to celebratory T-shirt. Further, the artist will receive a Trek Solstice MIPS bike helmet, available in a high-visibility yellow color from Denver’s Campus Cycles. In addition to donating this prize, valued at $70, Campus Cycles has also graciously offered to ship the helmet to the winner.
All interested entrants, please follow these guidelines:
-Submissions must positively showcase active travel modes (Walk, Bike, Roll).
-Submissions should highlight diversity and safety best practices.
-Submissions must be portrait-orientation.
-Artwork will ideally be created on 11 X17 paper, scanned at 100% at a minimum 600 DPI; however Letter Size submissions are also acceptable.
-If scanning is not an option, cellphone pictures may be submitted at the highest resolution available, at least 1200 DPI.
-Our preference is for emailed submissions. Send to [email protected]. Please include the student’s name and a contact email.

-Please ensure your submissions are received by 4 pm Friday, May 2nd.
