Work resumes for I-25 Concrete Panel Replacement Project from Fort Collins to Owl Canyon Road in Larimer County
Travel Advisory
Larimer County — The Colorado Department of Transportation and contracting partner, Castle Rock Construction, will resume work on southbound Interstate 25 near Fort Collins on March 17.
The anticipated completion date is summer 2025.
During the 2024 construction season, construction crews completed the removal and replacement of concrete panels and diamond grinding operations on the northbound and southbound I-25 from Colorado Highway 14 in Fort Collins to Owl Canyon Road in Wellington. Diamond grinding is done to smooth the roadway by taking out the bumps or pavement variability, whether it is due to settling or cracking.
Crews will complete the remaining work on southbound I-25 from CO 14 in Fort Collins to Owl Canyon Road in Wellington. This work consists of saw and sealing to increase longevity of the pavement and maintain integrity, as well as permanently striping the roadway. In addition, final work will include corrective grinding to ensure a smooth drive for travelling motorists and seeding along the roadway to stabilize soil and reduce erosion.
