Adams County — Starting Monday, Sept. 16, the Colorado Department of Transportation and the contractor Kiewit Infrastructure will begin repairs to both eastbound and westbound lanes of the I-270 bridge over Vasquez Boulevard in Commerce City. There will be overnight single lane closures on I-270 followed by 24/7 ramp closures. In late September, the westbound and eastbound on-ramps will be fully closed for up to four days, but both on-ramps will not be closed at the same time. Work on this project is scheduled for completion in early October.

This project is a continuation of the work which began in September of 2023 to repair bridges along the I-270 corridor. To prevent sudden emergency repairs and ensure the bridge remains in good condition, CDOT will perform deck repairs and armor the structure with polyester polymer concrete.
