Ramps on southbound I-25 will be closed at CO 14 from Oct. 1 to Oct. 4
Travel Advisory
Larimer County — From Oct. 1 to Oct. 4, the Colorado Department of Transportation will close the southbound on- and off- ramps at Exit 269A at Colorado Highway 14 (Mulberry Street).
The ramps will be closed to allow crews to safely complete the work repairing broken concrete slabs up to Owl Canyon Road. The closures will be in place from 7 p.m. on Oct. 1 to 6 a.m. on Oct. 4.
The project is anticipated to be completed in December. This work started back up in April after a winter shutdown. Night work began in June.
Detours routes:
- On-ramp to southbound I-25 from westbound CO 14:
- Go northbound on I-25 and take Exit 271 (Mountain Vista), turn left on Mountain Vista Drive, then enter southbound I-25 using the on-ramp.
- Off-ramp from southbound I-25 to CO 14:
- Drivers will continue south past Exit 269A on I-25 and take Exit 268 (Prospect), then enter northbound I-25 using the on-ramp to take Exit 269A (CO 14).
Project Schedule
- Nighttime working hours are Monday to Friday, 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

The following tips are to help you stay safe while traveling through maintenance and construction work zones.
- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
