Rumble strip installation on CO 14 over Cameron Pass begins Oct. 15
News Release
Larimer County - The Colorado Department of Transportation advises travelers there will be temporary traffic holds in Larimer County on Colorado Highway 14, over Cameron Pass from Mile Point 102, west of Eggers, and ends at MP 105, just west of Stove Prairie Road for centerline rumble strip installation on Oct. 15.
The work is scheduled for one day; however, an additional workday may be required. These strips will alert drivers when they are unintentionally drifting out of their lane and help prevent head-on collisions, sideswipes, and other accidents.
Due to the narrow construction zone, motorists will be stopped for 30 minutes at a time during the installation. Flaggers will be in place and drivers should be prepared to stop and follow instructions. A pilot car will guide motorists through the work zone.
Resurfacing work and bridge repairs began in late May. The repaving process is nearing completion, and repairs on two of the three bridges are almost finished. A culvert box has been installed, and final bridge repairs have just begun. The entire project is expected to be completed by November.
Please use caution when traveling through the area and stay alert for crews and equipment. CDOT appreciates your patience as we work to improve the safety of our roads.
