Northbound Nevada Avenue (CO 115) Closed from Brookside Street to I-25 Ramps

Colorado Springs - The City of Colorado Springs and their contract partner SEMA Construction will temporarily close northbound Nevada Avenue (CO Highway 115) at 9 p.m., Friday, Oct. 18 through 5 a.m., Saturday Oct. 19 from Brookside Street to the Interstate 25 ramps. This closure is necessary for the safety of the traveling public as crews move traffic barriers.
Traffic Impacts
Temporary full closure of northbound Nevada Avenue (CO 115) between Brookside Street and I-25 Ramps:
- Friday, Oct. 18, 9 p.m. to Saturday, Oct. 19, 4:30 a.m.
- Detour - Northbound traffic on South Nevada Avenue should take Brookside Street to South Tejon Street. Proceed to I-25 South Connector Road to South Nevada Avenue

The following tips are to help you stay safe while traveling through maintenance and construction work zones.
- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
- Be patient!
