Interstate 25 southbound, right lane closure in Pueblo for concrete panel work
Travel Advisory
Pueblo — Beginning Sunday, June 16, there will be a single right lane closure and shoulder closure on southbound Interstate 25 from Mile Post 102 to 101. Southbound I-25 will be transitioned to one through-lane for the duration of the concrete panel replacement which is expected to take two weeks to complete. The panel replacement will improve drivability for motorists and eliminate severe bumps within this area.
Nighttime milling and paving operations will continue from MP 94 and continue to MP 97.5 in northbound and southbound lanes of I-25.
Traffic Impacts
Motorists and area residents can expect the following impacts during construction:
- Sunday, June 16 through Sunday, June 30 - 24/7 - single right lane closure and shoulder closure on northbound I-25 from MP 101 to 102
- Nighttime milling operations - Sunday, May 19 - late June from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (MP 94 to 97.5)
- Work/closure hours
- Daytime hours Monday through Friday: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (MP 92 to MP 94).
- Nighttime hours Sunday through Thursday 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. (MP 94 to MP 97.5).
- Single lane closures and shoulder closures will take place within the work zone.
- Reduced speeds in the work zone.
- Plan ahead and expect delays.
- Construction schedules are weather dependent.
- The project is scheduled for completion in fall of 2024.

The following tips are to help you stay safe while traveling through maintenance and construction work zones.
- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
