June 6, 2024 - Southeastern Colorado - Nighttime southbound double lane closures with delays

Colorado Springs — Motorists should plan for nighttime travel delays June 10 to 12 between the hours of 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. while the Colorado Department of Transportation performs concrete pothole repair. Maintenance operations will take place on southbound Interstate 25 in Colorado Springs south of the Fillmore Street Interchange from Mile Point 144.5 to MP 144.

Traffic Impacts

Motorists and area residents can expect the following impacts during maintenance operations:

  • Monday, June 10 through Wednesday, June 12 - southbound I-25 double lane closures with one through lane from MP 144.5 to 144
  • Expect lane shifts guided by cones and signage
  • Double lane closures with a single through lane
  • Speeds will be reduced to 45 MPH in the work zone
  • Drivers are urged to watch for workers and their equipment, slow down and drive with caution

  • Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
  • Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
  • Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
  • Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
  • Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
  • Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
  • Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
  • Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
  • Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
