CDOT to host open house to share preliminary roundabout design for US 6 in Palisade

Mesa County — The Colorado Department of Transportation invites the public to an open house to view the preliminary roundabout design for the US Highway 6 Palisade Improvements Project. The project team will share information about the preliminary design of transportation improvements along US 6 from 37 1/10 Road to Iowa Avenue, including a roundabout at US 6 and the Elberta Avenue Intersection.

When: Tuesday, June 18th, 4:30 to 6 p.m.
Where: 711 Iowa Avenue, Palisade, CO 81526. The session will take place in the gymnasium of the Palisade Recreation Center

Based on feedback from the community and the Town of Palisade, funding considerations and additional data points conducted by the project team, CDOT decided to design one roundabout at the US Highway 6 and Elberta Avenue Intersection. The roundabout will improve operations, safety and multimodal mobility in the Town of Palisade.
