CO Highway 151 opened Oct. 20
Travel Advisory
Archuleta County — The Colorado Department of Transportation opened CO 151 near Chimney Rock National Monument on Friday, Oct. 20 at 9:45 a.m., after a week-long full closure. The project work area is located five miles south of the US 160 Junction at Mile Point 28.
The 24/7 full closure began on October 13 and reduced the amount of work time and traffic impacts required at this location. During the closure construction crews installed two new concrete box culverts. Work will continue for the next few weeks to rebuild and resurface the roadway, and re-establish proper water drainage in the area. Work is expected to be completed by late November.
