CDOT crews will pave a section of CO 90 between Naturita and the Utah state line

Montrose County — The Colorado Department of Transportation is paving a short section of CO 90 next Monday, June 12, through Thursday, June 15. Operations will take place eight miles west of the CO 90 and CO 141 junction, Mile Points 22 through 26. Daytime work hours will range from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Surface treatment operations help treat road damage caused by harsh winter conditions creating a smoother and safer road surface for motorists.
Traffic Impacts
Operations will take place on June 12-16. Daytime work hours will range from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Motorists can expect full stops, up to 30-minute delays and should allow for extra travel time
- Vehicles will be guided by flagging personnel
- Access in and out of intersections may be restricted at times
- A speed reduction of 40 mph will be enforced through the work zones

- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
- Be patient!
