Full closure planned for Larimer County Road 14 under I-25 from July 12 to 18
Project Update
Larimer County — The Colorado Department of Transportation and the I-25 North Express Lanes Project will repave both lanes of Larimer County Road 14 under I-25 starting July 12 at 7 a.m. through July 18 at 5 p.m. This work requires a temporary full closure of LCR 14 under the I-25 bridge. Full closures decrease the duration of traffic impacts and increase safety for the traveling public and crews.
Work will primarily consist of placing new roadway asphalt and pouring new curbs where needed. A smooth road is safer and provides a better driving experience. Please follow posted detour signs:
- Westbound LCR 14 traffic will take the eastern Frontage Road north to Larimer County Road 16, turn left and take County Road 7 south and continue westbound on LCR 14.
- Eastbound LCR 14 traffic will take CR 7 north to LCR 16, turn right and take the eastern Frontage Road south and continue eastbound on LCR 14.
Travel Impacts
Motorists should follow posted detour signs in the area and plan for 15-minute delays. This is a continuous 24-hour per day closure and is expected to last through July 18.
Construction is weather-dependent and subject to change.
Please visit www.codot.gov/projects/north-i-25, for current travel updates. The I-25 North Express Lanes Project: Berthoud to Johnstown section will increase highway capacity by adding an Express Lane in each direction, rebuild interchanges, replace aging bridges, straighten highway curves to improve safety, make major utility and drainage improvements, and add carpool and transit facilities. During construction on the I-25 North Express Lanes Project, motorists should expect speed reductions to 65 mph, minor lane shifts, temporary concrete barriers and median bridge work. Motorists should also expect delays during the scheduled work hours. Construction on the Berthoud to Johnstown segment is expected to be complete in early 2024.
