CDOT paves west Frontage Road in Bodo Park beginning Wednesday
Travel Advisory
La Plata County — The Colorado Department of Transportation will pave sections of both the west and east frontage roads through Bodo Industrial Park in Durango beginning this Wednesday, July 12. Motorists should plan for paving operations to continue through Thursday of next week. Motorists can expect lane shifts and alternating traffic as flaggers attempt to keep traffic flowing through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to seek alternate business access at times.
West Frontage Road (July 12 & 13): Paving crews will resurface the roadway south of Suttle Street between Supernova Furniture and Morehart Murphy Regional Auto Center.
East Frontage Road (July 17 through July 20): Paving crews will resurface the roadway north of the Durango Mall between Serious Texas BBQ and the City of Durango Water Dock.
Traffic Impacts
Plan for traffic delays on Bodo Park frontage roads between 9:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
- Traffic will be kept flowing through the work zone with lane shifts
- Drivers may encounter periodic traffic stops and delays
- Motorists will be guided by cones, signs and flagging personnel
- Highway exits and access in and out of businesses may be limited at times
- This work is weather permitting

- Do not speed in work zones. Obey the posted speed limits.
- Stay Alert! Expect the unexpected.
- Watch for workers. Drive with caution.
- Don't change lanes unnecessarily.
- Avoid using mobile devices such as phones while driving in work zones.
- Turn on headlights so that workers and other drivers can see you.
- Be especially alert at night while driving in work zones.
- Expect delays, especially during peak travel times.
- Allow ample space between you and the car in front of you.
- Anticipate lane shifts and merge when directed to do so.
- Be patient!
