Bayfield bus stop for Bustang Outrider

Bayfield – Bustang Outrider is adding Bayfield to its Durango – Grand Junction route, providing another transit option for people in the Pine River Valley area.
Outrider’s new stop is at the Pine River Library, 395 Bayfield Center Dr. The bus departs Bayfield daily at 6:10 a.m., arriving in Durango at 6:32 a.m. Return trips leave the Durango Transit Center at 7:10 p.m., arriving in Bayfield at 7:30 p.m. The fare is $4, with discounts available for those 65 years and older, 2 to 11 years old and disabled individuals. Those under 2 years old ride for free. Passengers paying the driver must use cash and have the exact fare amount. Otherwise, tickets can be purchased on the Bustang Outrider App.
“The addition of the Bayfield stop is a great enhancement to the Bustang Outrider Service. This stop provides a convenient transportation option for commuters travelling to Durango for work, school, or medical appointments. It also provides a safe, convenient, and critical regional transit connection for travel from Bayfield to Cortez, Telluride, and Grand Junction,” said Amber Blake, the director of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Division of Transit and Rail. “From Grand Junction, riders are able to travel across the state, connecting to the mainline Bustang service with connections to Glenwood Springs, Vail, and Denver.”
Bustang Outrider vehicles are equipped with Wi-Fi, power outlets, a restroom, storage areas, and bike racks.
