Eastbound Interstate 70 will be closed for a few hours from Eagle to Wolcott on Sunday, March 13, for a vehicle removal operation

Eagle County – Beginning at 8 a.m., all eastbound traffic will detour off I-70 at the Eagle Interchange (Exit 147) and rerouted to U.S. 6. Traffic remains on Highway 6 for about 10 miles, returning to I-70 at Wolcott (Exit 157).

I-70 is expected to be closed for about three hours as crews work to safely remove a semi-truck lying on its side next to the roadway. However, the closure time is an estimate, and the highway could remain closed for a longer period, due to unforeseen problems removing the semi
