Learn About the CO 115 Safety Improvements Project

January 3, 2022 - Southeastern Colorado - Colorado Department of Transportation will be in person to discuss upcoming project.

El Paso and Teller Counties — CO 115 is a vital commuter route linking Canon City, Florence, Penrose and Pueblo West to not only Colorado Springs, but also the area's Military bases. CDOT is planning safety and capacity improvements for the CO 115 corridor between Mile Point 27.7 and 39. The improvement project will include major rehabilitation or replacing aging pavement, Rock Creek Bridge replacement, adding passing lanes, adding a turn lane for northbound Old Canon City Road and right turn deceleration lanes. The project will begin the design phase this year and is planned to start construction in 2022.
