News Release

August 18, 2022 - Northwestern Colorado - The public is invited to attend on Thursday, Aug. 25 at the Palisade Community Center

Palisade — The Colorado Department of Transportation and contracted firm Muller Engineering Company invite the public to a listening session on Thursday, Aug. 25 in Palisade. The event is for residents, businesses and other stakeholders to learn more about US Highway 6 roadway alignment and intersection configuration design alternatives for a section of US 6 in Palisade near the Elberta intersection. Design alternatives will focus on US 6 between 37 1/10th Road and Iowa Avenue. Members of the project team will be on hand, at this in-person listening session, to discuss several design alternatives with the public in order to solicit feedback.

The goal of this work is to select a recommended alternative to improve traffic and multimodal operations and safety along this section of US 6 that would then advance to the design phase. Once input from stakeholders and the public is reviewed, the project team will present a selected alternative at a subsequent public meeting to be scheduled for later in the fall.

Please join us:
When: Thursday, Aug. 25 from 3 - 7 p.m.
Where: Palisade Community Center
120 W. 8th Street
Palisade, CO 81526

The listening session will take place upstairs in the Community Center Event Hall.

Members of the public will also have the opportunity to speak with Town of Palisade officials who will be on hand to discuss the Palisade Comprehensive Plan.
