US 160, East Wolf Creek Pass: Crews to perform slope repair work
News Release
MINERAL/RIO GRANDE COUNTIES ― The Colorado Department of Transportation will repair roadside slopes next week on US Highway 160, on the east side of Wolf Creek Pass, near the tunnel, mile points 173-175. The four-day road maintenance operations will take place Monday through Thursday (August 23 to 26), from 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Traffic Impacts
Drivers will encounter brief stops and will proceed through a one-lane alternating traffic work zone guided by flagging personnel. This is a high volume road, so up to 20 minute delays are anticipated. A speed reduction of 40 MPH will be in place and drivers should slow down and use extreme caution when approaching and driving through the work zone. Motorists are urged to be aware of crews and heavy equipment.
