Tanker rollover cleanup on US 36

US 36 will be closed from dawn to dusk for several days to allow the Environmental Protection Agency to work on the cleanup of the site from a truck spill on Tuesday, April 27, afternoon.

The road is closed at Apple Valley Road. Personal vehicles can get around the closure using Apple Valley Road but commercial vehicles will need to take CO 7 or US 34 to get around the area.

US 36 was closed for several hours on Tuesday after a tanker truck hauling 8,000 gallons of gasoline crashed. Some of the fuel, according to the EPA, went into the river. The EPA has set up a website for this cleanup: https://response.epa.gov/AppleValley
