Overnight closures on I-25 between RidgeGate and Castle Pines Parkways

DOUGLAS COUNTY — Drivers can anticipate overnight lane closures on both north and southbound I-25 between RidgeGate Parkway and Castle Pines Parkway on Saturday, June 1st and Sunday, June 2nd as Xcel Energy installs transmission lines along this stretch.

Motorists can expect the following lane closures:

  • Saturday, June 1: NB and SB exterior shoulder and lane will be closed from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. NB and SB interior lanes will be closed from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m.
  • Sunday, June 2NB and SB exterior lanes will be closed from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. NB and SB interior lanes will be closed from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. All lanes will be operating as rolling stops from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.

The remainder of the installation work will take place through June 8th with no lane closures. The work hours for those days are June 3-7 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. and June 8 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Although no lane closures will occur on those dates, drivers need to be aware and remember to drive slowly and with caution in the work zone.

This project takes a systematic statewide approach to safety combining the benefits of CDOT’s programs that address driving behavior, our built environment and the organization's operations. The goal is to improve the safety of Colorado's transportation network by reducing the rate and severity of crashes and improving safety conditions for those traveling by all transportation modes. The program has one simple mission: to get everyone home safely.
