CDOT Closes Mountain Passes due to Snow Slides

CDOT has closed several mountain passes because of natural snow slides, continued avalanche risk and adverse weather conditions. 

CLOSED: 

US 550 Red Mountain Pass

No vehicles were involved in any of the natural slides that occurred overnight. There is no estimated time of opening these passes, but crews will conduct avalanche control operations this morning, March 4, in an effort to open the passes as soon as possible.
