Procession plans for Eric Hill finalized for Saturday morning
STATEWIDE ― Gypsum Fire Protection District and the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) have finalized plans for the procession to Eric Hill’s Memorial Service on Saturday, March 23. The procession will begin at approximately 10:15 a.m. and conclude at the Memorial Service that is scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m.
Saturday, March 23 PROCESSION TO MEMORIAL SERVICE
Staging: Responding agencies taking part in the procession will stage at the CDOT Maintenance Yard- 10519 Highway 6, Gypsum, CO 81637, no later than 9:00 a.m. This procession will join the family escort as it passes the CDOT facility. The procession will drive eastbound on US 6 to Eagle and navigate the roundabouts to Chambers Avenue to the Eagle County Fairgrounds.
Memorial Service Location: The Eagle River Center is located at 794 Fairgrounds Rd., Eagle, CO 81631. The public will arrive and park in the paved lot west of the building. Processional apparatus will be staged in the lot on the south side of the building. Traffic control will be in place to assist with parking.
Colorado State Patrol and CDOT urge the public to use caution when the memorial motorcades pass, especially if members of the public wish to pay their respects outside of their vehicles or places of business.
