Background

Phase 1 of the project replaced median barrier along I-70 between the Lookout Mountain and Chief Hosa interchanges, and the area west the of I-70/I-270 Interchange, and on the east side of the Quebec Street overpass.

Median barriers enhance public safety by physically separating opposing traffic streams and help stop vehicles from traveling into the opposing traffic lanes.

Cruz Construction Co. of Colorado Springs, is the contractor for the $1.8 million project.
