CO 325 north of Rifle closed to non-local traffic

CO 325 is closed to all but local traffic. Please avoid this road unless you are resident on this highway.  

Just before 7 a.m. on Friday, July 12, CDOT received reports of road damage on the northbound lane of Colorado Highway 325 north of Rifle, MP 7. Engineering and maintenance crews responded to the bank failure which collapsed the highway, located about two miles north of the Rifle Gap Reservoir.  

The damage is extensive and will require reconstruction of this section of highway.
