Overnight full ramp closure from eastbound C-470 to northbound I-25

January 14, 2019 - Denver Metro Area

ARAPAHOE COUNTY — A full closure of the connector ramp from eastbound C-470 to northbound I-25 is expected during overnight work hours on Monday, January 14, and Tuesday, January 15 between 10 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Crews will widen ramp during this time in preparation for the future installation of traffic metering equipment as part of the Smart 25 project.

A detour will be in place rerouting traffic to exit eastbound C-470 and reenter I-25 northbound from Lincoln Avenue (as shown in the map below).

Since April, crews have been conducting bridge deck and median barrier repairs and milling and paving on five miles of I-25 between C-470 and Belleview Avenue. Key benefits of this $13 million project include a better, smoother driving surface for motorists.

TRAVEL IMPACTS

Motorists should expect various lane closures on northbound and southbound I-25 during overnight hours. Typical hours are between 8 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. Sunday through Thursday. Weekend work may occur as needed. The speed limit is reduced to 55 m.p.h. in the project zone during work hours.
