TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Week of February 3

February 1, 2019 - Southeastern Colorado - Overnight Closure on Northbound I-25 Rockrimmon Off-Ramp, Daytime Lane Closure on Woodmen Road

Colorado Springs – Next week there will be an overnight ramp closure at northbound I-25 Rockrimmon and a closure of I-25 northbound right lane for barrier removal. In addition, there are daytime lane closures on Woodmen Road for curb and gutter work.

Overnight closure of northbound I-25 Rockrimmon off-ramps (Exit 148) for barrier removal. In addition, the I-25 northbound right lane will be closed.

  • 9 p.m. – 5 a.m., Tuesday night, Feb. 5

  • Northbound I-25 off-ramp detour during ramp closure (Exit 148): Continue northbound on I-25 to Woodmen Road Exit (149). Exit on Woodmen Road back to southbound I-25 and take the Corporate Drive/Rockrimmon Nevada Avenue Exit (148).

Daytime lane closures on Woodmen Road

Daytime single left lane closures on eastbound and westbound Woodmen Road for curb and gutter replacement.

9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4 through Friday, Feb. 8

Daytime shoulder closures on Southbound I-25

Daytime left shoulder closure on southbound I-25 for surface testing and grinding

  • 7 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday, Feb. 4 and Tuesday, Feb. 5

Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances. Speed reduction to 55 mph in construction zone during the duration of the project.

PROJECT INFORMATION: The Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) has initiated a bridge and driving surface preventative maintenance project on ten bare concrete bridges near the Interstate-25 Rockrimmon interchange that will improve safety and ride quality. This project is part of the ongoing CDOT Asset Management / Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program that began approximately ten years ago to extend the life of the state’s bridge structures to 75 years.
