Rock Work in Morrison this week

Feb. 26, 2019 - Denver Metro Area, Colorado

MORRISON – Traffic stops will be taking place on eastbound and westbound Colorado Highway 8 between downtown and the town’s westernmost traffic signal on Wednesday, Feb. 27, and Thursday, Feb. 28, for rock scaling operations.

Drivers can expect delays up to 20 minutes from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. as crews remove loose rock from the above the north slope of the highway.

An alternate route is available around the closure via C-470, U.S. 285, and CO. 8 south of Morrison.

The Colorado Department of Transportation requires traffic to be stopped when rock mitigation operations are taking place.
