I-25 Cable Barrier Installation Project to Begin Sept. 14
Sept. 5, 2018 - Nightly Lane Closures Expected
EL PASO COUNTY—On Friday, Sept. 14, crews will begin improving the median barrier on I-25 between Colorado Springs and Pueblo, near Fountain.
Crews will work on the tensioned cable barrier for an approximate four-mile stretch of the southbound lane (from mile points 125.2 to 121.1). By installing cable barrier along this stretch, crews will enhance safety by reducing median crossover crashes.
Work will begin with construction surveying, clearing and flattening of slopes, erosion control and the removal of asphalt. Work will then continue with asphalt replacement and installation of the cable barrier.

- From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays, travelers can expect inside single-lane closures.
