Crews to Repair Rio Grande Bridge in Alamosa Oct. 2
Sept. 25, 2018 - Travelers can Expect Short Delays on US 160
ALAMOSA—From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 2, travelers can expect one-lane alternating traffic as crews repair the US Highway 160 Rio Grande Bridge. Work may extend into the following day, Wednesday, Oct. 3.
The Rio Grande Bridge is on US 160/Broadway Avenue (mile point 233.5), on the east side of Alamosa.
"Our goal is to complete the bridge repairs within one day's time (on Tuesday, Oct. 2)," said CDOT Maintenance Special Crews Foreman Willie Atencio. "However, there is a possibility that this could turn into a two-day project. If this happens, metal plates will be placed on the bridge surface to accommodate evening traffic flow."
