US 160 Paving Near Pagosa Springs Rescheduled for Oct. 13

Oct. 11, 2018 -

ARCHULETA/MINERAL COUNTIES—Due to inclement weather, crews have rescheduled paving of US Highway 160 east of Pagosa Springs for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13. Travelers on this stretch—between mile points 145 and 149—can expect single-lane, alternating traffic and delays.

Paving and shoulder work will continue on this stretch of road during the week of Oct. 15. Weather permitting, there will likely be two separate work zones: one for paving, and one for shoulder work. Any remaining highway approaches or driveways will also be paved.

Travel Impacts

  • 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, with Saturdays as necessary
  • Expect periodic full lane closures and lengthy wait times of 15 to 30 minutes while this final top mat of paving is underway.
  • Driveways and side roads could be closed for 30 to 60 minutes after the asphalt is placed, to allow compaction.
  • Work zones are expected to be about 1.5 miles long.
