Expect Lane Closures Overnight Oct. 7, 10 & 11 on I-25 Near Garden of the Gods & Woodmen Roads

COLORADO SPRINGS—Overnight Sunday, Oct. 7, Wednesday, Oct. 10 and Thursday, Oct. 11, crews will close lanes on I-25 at or near Garden of the Gods and Woodmen roads as they paint and stripe.

• When: 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8
  and 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11
• What: Single-right-lane closure for bridge rail painting
• Where: I-25 between Woodmen and Garden of the Gods roads

• When: 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7 to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8
  and 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 to 5 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12
• What: Single-lane restrictions for turn-lane striping
• Where: Northbound I-25 and Woodmen Road off-ramp

Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances. The speed will be reduced to 55 mph in the construction zone throughout the project.

Project Info

CDOT started this bridge and driving-surface preventative maintenance project on 10 bare concrete bridges near the Interstate-25 Rockrimmon interchange to improve safety and ride quality. This project is part of the ongoing CDOT Asset Management/Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program that began approximately 10 years ago to extend the life of the state's bridge structures to 75 years.
