Oct. 10, 2018 -

DENVER—Crews overnight Sunday, Oct. 14 will permanently close the York Street on-ramp to westbound I-70 as they prepare to build a new Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) Bridge and improve the final design of I-70.

Permanent Detour

Going forward, please take 46th Avenue east to Steele Street, and access westbound I-70 from the Steele Street/Vasquez Boulevard on-ramp.

Other Travel Impacts

Expect additional street impacts in the immediate area over the coming weeks:

  • Lane restrictions on York Street, south of 46th Avenue, will be in place for a few weeks.
  • Later in the month, 46th Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction in the westbound lanes.
  • Truck access to westbound I-70 from Steele/Vasquez will change slightly when this occurs.
