Closures set for Overnight Oct. 17 & 18 on I-25 & Woodmen Road
COLORADO SPRINGS—Travelers on I-25 near Woodmen and Garden of the Gods roads can expect lane closures overnight Thursday, Oct. 17 and Friday, Oct. 18 as crews paint bridge rail, stripe a turn lane, and complete curb and gutter work.
From 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 to 5 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, expect a right-lane closure on southbound I-25 between Woodmen and Garden of the Gods roads.
From 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17 and Thursday, Oct. 18, expect the following:
- a lane on the northbound I-25/Woodmen Road off-ramp; and
- a lane closure at Woodmen Road.
Construction schedules are subject to change based on weather/unforeseen circumstances. The speed limit will be reduced to 55 mph in the construction zone.
Project Info
CDOT started this bridge and driving-surface preventative maintenance project on 10 bare concrete bridges near the I-25 Rockrimmon interchange to improve safety and ride quality. This project is part of the ongoing CDOT Asset Management/Bridge Preventative Maintenance Program that began approximately 10 years ago to extend the life of the state's bridges to 75 years.
