Join Dec. 5 Public Meeting in Estes Park to Discuss US 34 & MacGregor Avenue Improvements

ESTES PARK—From 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 5, CDOT will host a public meeting to discuss the ongoing study to explore planned improvements to the intersection of US Highway 34 and MacGregor Avenue.

At 4:45 p.m., the study team will give a short presentation. The public is encouraged to attend to learn about the planned improvements and provide feedback.

As Estes Park grows, a larger demand is placed on the intersection, which sees congestion during peak visitor times and a pattern of increasing traffic crashes. The study team is considering long-term solutions that will provide adequate mobility for future traffic demands, consider the needs of pedestrian and cyclist traffic, and have a low life-cycle cost expectancy.

The meeting will provide the public opportunity to see the results of the intersection study, comment on the preferred solution and provide feedback on the preliminary design of the intersection improvements.
