Eight-Day Closure Set to Start May 8 on US 34D in East Greeley
May 4, 2018 - Weather postponed this week's closure between 20th and 24th streets.
GREELEY—For eight days starting on Tuesday, May 8, crews will close US Highway 34D south of 20th Street as they remove and replace about 425 feet of the highway to mitigate damage. During the closure, access will be available to residents only. A detour will direct non-local traffic via US 34 and US 85.
Crews postponed a two-day closure this week at 20th and 24th streets due to heavy rainfall. Crews have not yet determined when this work will be rescheduled.
This project—scheduled to last until November—will require an approximate five-month closure from 24th Street to US 34 starting in mid-June. A detour will be in place. An additional shorter-term closure is scheduled for mid-May.
