Work Begins April 2 on South I-25 Raton Pass Resurfacing Project in Trinidad

TRINIDAD—On Monday, April 2, crews will begin improving sections of I-25 at Raton Pass. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Mondays through Fridays, crews will resurface the road, repair a bridge and improve guardrail. Work is scheduled to be complete in September 2018.
Travel Impacts
- From April 9-12, there will be 24-hour, 12-foot-width reduction on northbound I-25 at mile point 10.4. Concrete barrier will be in place as will a speed-limit reduction of 45 mph.
- Expect work crews in and around the CDOT Port of Entry, south of Trinidad.
- Allow for travel delays of up to 15 minutes due to traffic being reduced to one lane.
- All business owners and residents will maintain access to their property, though it may be temporarily altered.
- No weekend work is currently anticipated.
Project Info
Work on this $5.3 million project will extend on I-25 from mile points 7.5 to 12.9 in Las Animas County.
