I-25 Closed at US 50B Overnight March 22 for Bridge Repairs

PUEBLO—From 8 p.m. Thursday, March 22 to 5 a.m. Friday, March 23, crews will close southbound I-25 at the exit 100A off-ramp as part of ongoing bridge repairs at the I-25/US 50B (Belmont) interchange.

Traffic Impacts

  • Traffic will be detoured to the 13th Street interchange during the closure.
  • Speeds will be reduced to 45 mph through the work zone.

Project Info

This work is part of the $10 million, CO 96 (4th Street) improvement project, which includes intersection renovation, signal replacement, resurfacing and bridge rehabilitation. Work began in July 2017 and will improve surface quality, enhance safety, and provide improved pedestrian crossings—including upgrading ramps to current Americans With Disabilities Act standards. The project is scheduled to be complete by June 2018.

The CO 96 project is an active construction area. Access on the project site is restricted unless accompanied by a CDOT representative. Your safety is important to us, so please coordinate access requests in advance with the project team. A safe area for interviews, b-roll, etc., and a project team member will be designated for escort, and will coordinate the appropriate personal protective equipment. We appreciate your cooperation.
